9 Months

Ethan turned 9 months a couple of weeks ago. He has turned into such a little boy. He was 23 pounds and 30 inches tall at his doctor's appoinment last week. Either I need to start working out or he needs to start walking.

He has been army crawling all over the place for awhile but just this week he is up on his hands and knees. He pulls up on everything and then thinks he can just turn around and walk which doesn't work out too well. He loves everything that is not his especially Chloe's water bowl. If we turn away for a second he is splashing around in it.

He also loves his food. He doesn't really want us feeding him anymore, he would rather do it himself. He likes pretty much everything that we have given him except for spaghetti. I don't think he likes the sauce. The one thing that he takes after me for is that he doesn't like Italian food. That isn't exactly the trait I would choose but it is something I can claim...oh, and his mohawk. I guess I had one of those when I was little, too.

Ethan thinks it is funny to hand you things to eat or chew on. Then when you do, he will grab your lips.


He loves it when you chase him around or sneak up on him. Joe can make him laugh like nobody else.


He also likes to play peek-a-boo and hide from you, especially behind curtains.


Here he is in his walker that he uses at Grandma's. He literally runs around on all the hardwood floor and chases you.

Shannon's Baby Shower - Take 2

We had Shannon's second shower at my mom's house. It was a lot of fun and she got so many great gifts. Sophia can make her arrival anytime now!

Crazy Chloe

Ethan has a water table that he can stand at and play in the water. I don't know who likes it more, him or Kevin.



So the boys were playing in it the other day and Chloe was out. Now I don't know if I have mentioned how much Chloe loves water. She will dive into anything that even resembles water, including filthy mud puddles. Well, she seemed to think that this table looked like something that she could relax in... so in she jumped.



and then proceeded to try to sit down in it. It is two levels so there is even less room in there than it looks. Needless to say, she fell out. But don't think she didn't try again later.

Shannon's Baby Shower

Shannon had her shower in Youngstown last weekend. It was a pickles and ice cream theme and Alicia went all out. There were so many little details that were just perfect. The weather thankfully cooperated because it was outside by the pool at her house.

Alicia had Handel's ice cream delivered...it was pink tinted butter pecan called "Sophie's Choice". Here is Shannon loving it...

Fireworks!

We went over to Joe's friend Ryan's apartment for dinner and fireworks on the Fourth of July. He and his girlfriend Maria live in one of the high-rise apartments in Lakewood. They have an amazing view of the lake from their living room. We were able to see fireworks from what seemed like every city within 100 miles from their balcony. It was amazing. Even more amazing was that Ethan slept through it all in his pack n play.
