Pig Roast 2008

The third annual pig roast was a success even though of course it rained a bit. Right at 3:00 it started and we looked at the weather map to see one dot of rain in all of Ohio that happened to be right over Andover Circle. No joke. It was a lot of fun to see everyone and especially all of the kids...they are growing up so fast. Jennelle bought Ethan and Sophie the cutest shirts that said "my first pig roast" to match the rest of ours. Well, except for Joe who seemed to accidentally misplace his.

Here We Go Again...

Another Browns' season is under way and not going so well. Kevin actually let me go with him to the Steelers' game which was a lot of fun until we got home and had no power for the next couple of days. We all slumbered at my parents during the outage. Ethan had a great time with Sophie, Bella, and Chloe all there for the night. It was like a mini vacation.

Here is Ethan ready for the first game when hopes were still high.

11 Months

Here are some pictures of Ethan at 11 months. He is all over the place and getting into everything. He has taken a few steps on his own but tries to move so fast that he falls pretty quickly. He is "talking" up a storm and we swear we hear words in there but he doesn't repeat them very often. He does say "daddy" and "doggy" (we think). My mom tells me that he says "momma" when I am not there, but I think she is just trying to make me feel better. He loves to play with the kids next door. Whenever he hears them outside, he insists on going out to join them. They are great with him but he doesn't understand that he can't just run around in the middle of their football game. He has gotten really good at throwing the ball though, so maybe he will be playing sooner than we think.

Cousins

I took Ethan down to meet Sophie yesterday when she came home. He was so interested in her, especially when she would cry or when Shannon was feeding her. He kept peering over the arm of the chair to look at her. I think he may have been jealous that she was being fed the old fashioned way...

Sophie's Here!

Sophia Angeline finally made her arrival on Tuesday afternoon at 3:37. She is beautiful and Shannon did amazing. Her water broke at midnight and it was slow going at first but once she got her epidural things progressed really quickly and Sophie was born after just a couple pushes!

She was 7 pounds 10 ounces and 19.5 inches long with a lot of dark hair. They came home on Thursday and are doing great. Hopefully Sophie will get her days and nights straightened out in the next few days so Kevin and Shannon can get a little more sleep.
