Random Photoshoot

It has been a really slow, cold last couple of weeks. Not much has been going on. Ethan is talking a lot more and says about 30 words now. He loves his alphabet and tells us anytime he sees a letter anywhere. It is pretty funny except that he sometimes yells them out at the most random times such as while we are eating dinner in a restaurant or at church. He also thinks that all the flags on the mailboxes are letter L's and gets really excited that they are everywhere. He is taking a Kindermusik class to get us out of the house once a week which he really likes. He thinks every vehicle is a bus and that everything is the color blue but we are working on it.

Poopy in the Potty!

We bought Ethan a potty chair awhile back and have had it just sitting in the bathroom so he could get used to it being there. For the last week or so he has been wanting to sit on it. I take his diaper off and he will sit down and pee. He could stay there forever just reading his books and playing until he goes and then he gets right up so we can flush it down the toilet. Tonight when we got home from my parents, we put him on the potty and he sat for a little bit and when he got up I realized he had actually pooped in the potty! He was so proud of himself and the excitement even got Joe doing a little dance. Don't worry, I don't have pictures of this accomplishment. I am sure Ethan will be embarrassed enough if he ever finds out that I posted about his first potty experience.

More Girlfriends

It seemed for awhile that everyone I knew was having a boy. Things have changed and now there are girls being born all over the place. I think Ethan will be happy about this down the road.

I took him to meet Baby Lena last week. She is so beautiful and such a good baby.

Sleeping like an angel

Laura, Tom and Ryan also welcomed Kate to the world on February 12th. She is just perfect. She looks a lot like Ryan did except that she has a bunch of really dark hair and olive skin which already makes me jealous.
