Introducing....

Princess Sophia!  and Prince Ethan...and Princess Mallory!

Kevin does this with Sophia all the time and of course Ethan and his 45 pound self wanted to do it too.  Good thing Uncle Kevin was the one to lift him up.  Mallory just looks a little confused. 

It's a Boy!

Sophia is going to have a little BROTHER!  I think most everyone just assumed they would be having a girl, but we were all wrong.  I am so happy for them.  Boys are amazing and funny and dirty and they sure do love their Mommies!  At least Sophia will still be the princess....for now. 

Ethan Quote #26 (a little TMI)

I bought Ethan a new pair of boxer briefs.  He was so excited when he put them on.  He ran into the room to show them to me...

Ethan:  "Mom, look at this...these underwear have a pocket in the front!  And guess what is inside the pocket!  My penis!!!!  I have a penis pocket!!!  I can put my hand in my pocket and play with my penis!"

Happy Birthday to the FBC!

Happy Birthday to all of the members of the February Birthday Club!  Especially Laurie and Lynn who are celebrating their 40th birthday!  You may be asking what the FBC is exactly.  There are a few of us family members that have a birthday right around the same time in the middle of February.  We have joined together to up our chances of winning the lottery.  Our group leader, Laurie, notifies us when the jackpot is up to a certain dollar amount and we all go out and buy a ticket.  If one of us wins, we all win.  We have not won yet.  The closest we came was one day Jeff went missing for a few hours in the morning and we knew the winning ticket had been sold at the Marc's down the street from him.  We thought maybe he was busy collecting the winnings.  I think he was actually in a meeting or something.

Happy Birthday Chloe!

Chloe turned six this week.  Ethan wanted to throw her a party.  So I dragged both kids out in the freezing cold for party supplies.  He picked her out a new toy and some treats at the pet store.  Then we went over to the grocery store to buy cake mix and candles.  We bought her a balloon and when Ethan got home, he brought her bowl to the kitchen table and clipped the balloon to it "for her cake".  It was quite the event.

If Ethan does not end up being green beans when he grows up, he is going to end up being some sort of performer.  Right now all he wants to do is be "on ice" and skate around the wood floors.  Luckily he pretends he is Buzz Lightyear while he is doing it.  It makes it a little better that he is shooting his laser while he is pirouetting around the kitchen, right?  We are all instructed to be Jessie, Woody, Slinky Dog and Big Baby and skate around with him.  Chloe does not love this game at all.  Mallory thinks it is hysterical.  I will have to take video.

He also likes to hide behind the curtains and have me announce his entrance. Poor Mallory is his only audience.  She has to sit in a chair and I have to say "Mallory, your big brother Ethan is coming out on the stage!" and then he makes his grand entrance.  Over and over.

6 Months Old

Happy half birthday to Mallory!  She had her doctor's appointment this week and is 19 pounds and 26.5 inches long.  Big girl : )  She is sitting all by herself and really wants to start crawling.  She is sleeping a little bit better at night but still wakes up at least one time during the night.  She is doing much better at eating her solids, but also tries to eat her bib, the spoon, the bowl, and the highchair along with them.  She needs a bath after pretty much every meal.  She loves playing with her toys, jumping in her jumper and watching her big brother's every move.  I love nothing more than watching them together when they don't know I can see them.  Ethan is so sweet to her and she just lights up every time she sees him.
