Big Brother!

So as everyone knows by now...Ethan is going to be a big brother! I have seriously slacked on posting since I have been pregnant. I was not feeling good at all at the beginning and could barely get out of bed let alone type anything. I am feeling so much better now though, so hopefully I can start to catch up on things. Joe has been amazing and has done so much around the house and with Ethan.

We found out right before Thanksgiving that I was pregnant. Luckily I was still feeling good when we went to Disney the following week. We put Ethan in the shirt below when we met everyone for dinner at Cinderella's castle. Nobody except Shannon noticed though : )

Technically the baby is due August 1st, but I like to say the end of July. I started to show really early and it feels better to say July when people ask :) We just had our ultrasound on Monday and we found out we are having a girl! I was shocked. I just assumed it was a boy for no real reason except that we already had Ethan and that is what I am used to. We are thrilled though. I can't wait to start buying pink! Ethan just keeps saying "no baby" when we bring it up to him. He says he will teach her her letters and watch Toy Story with her. But other than that, it is "no baby".

Ethan Quote #8

Before his bath while covering up the front of himself with his hands...

"Dad, my penis is hiding...can you call it?"

Ethan Quote #7

After coming home from his haircut...

"Mom, I have hair on my belly and hair on my nipples"

I was waiting for him to add "just like Dad" : )

Ethan Quote #6

"Mommy, can you put my socks back on so I can dance better"

If only it were that easy, Buddy : )

Happy Valentine's Day!

I have been terrible at taking pictures lately which is unheard of for me. Here are a couple cute ones from Valentine's Day. We bought Ethan a little dog that plays music while flapping his ears. I need to take a video of Ethan dancing to it. He is actually a pretty good dancer...I have no idea where he got that from. When the song ends he always gives the dog a hug and kiss like he is telling him he did a good job singing.

This is just another random picture of him and another one of his dogs. I just realized how much he loves dogs. Especially Chloe. Every morning when he comes downstairs and sees Chloe he yells out "my Chloe dog!" and runs over to try to give her a hug.

Playin in the Snow

We got Ethan a shovel for Christmas. We thought it was about time he started earning his keep. He loves playing in the snow any chance he gets. It doesn't last very long once he's out there though, probably because he knows he will get hot chocolate when he comes back in.

He also will throw himself down in the snow without any warning. We have to watch because he will do this even when he doesn't have his snow pants on. I will take him out of the car after going somewhere and he will run and throw himself in the snow. Or if we are out somewhere and he sees snow, he will just go jump in it. He unfortunately thinks it is hysterical.

He has been wanting to build a snowman forever. Everytime there is even a dusting of snow he asks to go outside and build a snowman. Finally the weather cooperated and we had some good packing snow. Now it hasn't stopped snowing since.

Christmas in February

We did celebrate Christmas this year, I just haven't gotten around to posting any pictures. Better February than never I guess. We kept up our tradition that we started last year of Christmas Eve at my parents in our jammies. It is so fun and relaxing. Too bad Joe is a Grinch and refuses to wear pajamas. My dad even busted some out this year. He doesn't know what he is missing. He ends up falling asleep in his jeans on the couch most nights anyways so I guess you could consider them his pajamas.

Grandpa made Sophia and Ethan rocking chairs in his "workshop". They loved them, they just both loved the one that wasn't theirs.

Grandma read the night before Christmas...

and then Santa came by! Santa forgot his bag of gifts after somehow locking himself out of the house. Good thing he has elves to help him out.

We had a wonderful dinner and an even more wonderful dessert. Ethan literally licked his bowl full of jello...

Christmas morning was so much fun now that Ethan understood that Santa came and left him (too many) presents. He set out cookies for Santa and carrots for his reindeer. He was all about meticulously opening every present, putting it together and playing with it for a few minutes before moving on to the next one. Needless to say, Christmas morning almost turned into Christmas afternoon.

Here he is with his train table from Santa...

We went over to my Grandparents for Christmas dinner. Ethan loved being the center of attention...
