Baby Toes

Mallory is going to be 6 months old tomorrow.  She is not so little anymore : (  We have her doctor's appointment next week to see exactly how big she is, but I am guessing close to 20 pounds.  My mom called tonight to ask me to take some pictures of her feet.  Random, but we have ones of Ethan and Sophie and she wants to put them into a frame at some point.  I thought I would share them since there aren't many things cuter than baby toes.

Baby Icicle

My parents bought a house on Atwood Lake.  I am sure it will be a ton of fun during the summer, but right now it is cold and deserted.  So deserted, in fact, that when we went to the one restaurant within 20 miles, they had to turn the heat on and open the kitchen for us.  We weren't really prepared for this.  Mallory had to borrow Joe's coat to keep warm.  She was our little baby icicle.

The food was really good once the kitchen warmed up.  It is a really pretty place and we can't wait to go down once it gets a little bit warmer : )

Dr. Ethan

These are all just random pictures that I finally downloaded off my phone.  Ethan loves playing doctor.  He says he is Doctor Wasserman, which is his pediatrician.  He loves to "clip" everyone.  For some reason when he gets shots, he thinks they are clipping him.  So he takes his big tweezers and pinches when you are least expecting it.  I thought maybe he wanted to be a doctor when he grows up...too bad when his teacher at school asked everyone, he said he wanted to be green beans.  She made sure he understood what she meant and he said, "Yes, I would still like to be green beans."  He even drew a picture of the green beans he wants to be.  At least we will save on college tuition.

Grandpa's Birthday

Here are a couple of pictures from Grandpa's birthday party that he threw for himself : )  How were we supposed to know that he still wanted horns and hats at age 59?

Snoopy Sno Cone Machine

I knew from the beginning when Ethan asked for a Snoopy Sno Cone Machine from Santa, that that is all Santa should have brought him.  Every gift he opened on Christmas morning was followed by, "But where do you think the Sno Cone machine could be?"  He said that is all he wanted, Santa should have just went with it.
As soon as the present was opened, we got to cranking.  I may have to go buy an electric ice shaver and just put the shaved ice in the machine because it gave me sno cone arm.   Joe makes fun of me because I am always complaining about such and such arm.  I get dart arm, drape steaming arm, kite arm....pretty much anything that requires me to use my arm or put it up in the air for an extended period of time.  Sad, I know.  That is one of the reasons that we are putting a weight room in the basement that we are finishing.  So I can build up to being able to crank the sno cone machine for more than five minutes.

Christmas Eve

My favorite new tradition...pajamas on Christmas Eve.  All day.  Love it.  You can eat as much as you want and your waistband just keeps on expanding.

Our house ready for Christmas morning!  I LOVE having a fireplace in the new house.  It is one of my favorite things.

Ready for Santa to come

LOVE

Jammies!  Or as close to jammies as Joe will get.

Daddy's baby girl

Santa needs to clear his glasses off so he can see what he is doing

Hugs for Santa...reminding him to bring that sno cone machine

Ethan got a teepee from my parents for Christmas.  He was playing inside and Sophie went over and asked if she could come in.  Before she went inside...she took off her slippers.  Shannon has that girl well trained!

Gingerbread Houses

Sophie came over and her and Ethan made gingerbread houses before Christmas.  They were too funny.  The frosting and candy were everywhere but the houses.  They did a good job though, with a little help from me : )

Polar Express

We took a trip on the Polar Express again this year.  Sophia came with us and the kids had tons of fun squeegeeing the windows.  We could have saved a lot of money if we had just let them loose in a bathroom with the shower running.  We all had fun though, as you can see from the pictures...
