Ethan calls Mallory "Big Ole Head". I have no idea why, but all I have to say is...have you looked in the mirror lately, buddy?

Ethan Quote #18
While looking at the big spot of dirt on his leg from playing outside....
E: "Apparently this black spot won't come off with just water. We will need to use soap."
Apparently? I don't even know if I spelled it correctly but my two year old apparently knows how to use it in a sentence.

A Future in Music?
Ethan loves to play the piano at my mom's house. He takes it so seriously and it is adorable. We will have to get him some lessons soon. He sits and presses the keys and whispers "Itsy Bitsy Spider" to himself. He gets all embarrassed if you ask him what he is doing or catch him singing to himself.

Stir Crazy
We are all going stir crazy in the apartment, but Ethan is crazy. The poor kid never gets outside when we are here. He started going to daycare/preschool a few weeks back so that helps a lot. He hated it at first but he is doing so much better and is starting to actually look forward to going. It is nice for him to be around other kids and have some structured activities a couple of days a week.
Here are a couple of pictures of Joe and Ethan using all of the available space in the apartment, including the ceiling. He loves to walk on the ceiling...he is going to be mad when he finds out that the ceilings in the new house are nine feet high.

Best Friends
Bev brought Gia over to meet Mallory. They are already the best of friends. Gia has gotten so big, it is truly amazing. She was about 8 weeks old here but according to her due date, she would only be one week older than Mallory. She is much bigger than Mallory, so she has caught up wonderfully. I look forward to seeing them grow up together!

Not Loving the Bath
Mallory does not love water nearly as much as Ethan did. So far, she cries through her baths. Hopefully this will change. Maybe if we remember to give her more baths, she will get used to them : )

Ethan and Mallory
Ethan has been doing amazing with Mallory. I really wasn't sure before she was born because he has never been too fond of babies. It even got to the point where he would try to hit babies...real babies, babies in books or babies on television. I think it was mostly because my reaction was so strong when he would do it, but still.
He is a great big brother and a really good helper. He kisses and hugs her all the time and tries to share his toys with her. He isn't really bothered when she is crying or when I am feeding her. Hopefully this will continue. He is very protective of her and wants to figure out what she needs and why she is crying. He was really bothered by her belly button before the cord fell off. Every time she cried, he thought it was because of the "skin". He was convinced that it hurt her.
He tells everyone who will listen about his new baby and it is so much fun to see how much he loves her. Here are a few pictures from the past couple of weeks. Sorry these are so random, but I haven't had much free time!
